The Stevens - A History of Hygiene CD and LP

Debut from Melbourne pop band, formed in 2011 around guitarist (and now TWERPS drummer) Alex Macfarlane and NZ-born axe-slinger Travis MacDonald, the band now also includes bassist Gus Lord (BOOMGATES) and drummer Matt Harkin. Most of the album was recorded by EDDY CURRENT/TOTAL CONTROL guitarist Mikey Young and mastered by Tex Houston, who has also worked w/ the Clean, the 3Ds and the Verlaines!

The Ex and Getatchew Mekuria - Y'anbessaw Tezeta LP

FINALLY ON 2xLP VINYL, including a 48 pg LP sized photo booklet! Quite unexpectedly last year, at age 76, Getatchew Mekuria expressed an urge to make one more recording. This one, with The Ex - probably the last one in his life. The result is stunning. Deep, old, classic melodies; sensitive and fragile instrumentals, amazing horn-riffs and solos. But also danceable, with up-tempo war-chants.
