In addition to birthing and raising one of the greatest songwriters ever, Molly Drake was also quite the singer/songwriter herself. This collection of her home recordings was released on CD and LP a while back, and recently reissued on vinyl.
The music is like the cover suggests, simple and elegant, possessing a grace that you won't hear often. Molly's voice and piano playing are first rate. It's amazing she's not as famous as her son. Maybe someone needs to reach out to Volkswagen...
