Don’t let the monochrome cover and teddy haircuts fool you - these guys are proto punk at it’s transitional best. It starts by demanding your full attention with the first track (the witch). Garage rock, chugging, broken speaker sound that’s in your face. They then mix in covers of early rock n’ roll classics; 5 of the 12 tracks are covers from some of the greats - little richard, chuck berry, rufus thomas and more! It’s a great example of some rockin’ dudes paying homage and getting inspired by the soul, rock, and blues of their day.
