Anna's Pick of the Week: Butterscotch Cathedral - S/T

I must have listened to this album 3 times in a row. Classic vintage rock concept album with new school touch. The first track is the entire side A. Heavily inspired by psychedelic and classic rock (The Who, most clearly) it layers poppy guitar riffs, echoey reverb, drum solos, and stacked harmonies. It’s a surprisingly honest homage to the legacy of classic rock while still being fresh and ultimately have you humming something new. For me, it’s a perfect record for getting lost in a book.
