The Hedgehog

The Hedgehog (Le Herisson) is one of the best movies that Julia and I have seen in a very long time. The intertwined stories of a precocious filmmaker who happens to be an 11 year old girl, played by Garance Le Guillermic, the middle-aged invisible diamond building janitor/concierge, played by Josiane Balasko, and mysterious but affable new Japanese tenant, played by Togo Igawa. The supporting cast of family and other building dwellers also play their parts spectacularly well. The musical soundtrack is also perfect. Don't want to say too much more and ruin it. If you want spoilers, go elsewhere, but I suggest just buying your ticket and taking in the whole experience as Dieu intended it. Oh, the cat wrangling is executed to perfection.
