Carsten Nicolai (better known to most as Alva Noto) is keeping busy this year -- his esteemed label, Raster-Noton, released some terrific records by the likes of Kangding Ray, Cyclo, and Anne-James Chaton, and he is currently organizing a series of events to commemorate the imprint's 15th birthday this year, culminating in an event at the Berghain in Berlin this fall. In November, he will release "Univrs", a fine addition to his extensive catalog, and he has done one of his first DJ mixes ever, for Resident Advisor's podcast.
