EMI, home of Britpop & Beatles, sold to Russian Chemical Magnate

UMGD's bid to swallow rival EMI has apparently failed. Their exit leaves only Russian chemical magnate, Len Blavatnik, at the table. Blavatnik previously purchased the rotting carcass of once great Warner Music Group.

I picture him putting their well-preserved  corpses—hey, he is in chemicals—in rocking chairs up in the attic, setting up a looped soundtrack of "Thriller" and "I Wanna Hold Your Hand," and calling them Mama and Papa. Open for tours on Sundays after church.
