In continuation of our monthly collaboration with Girls Rock! Chicago, part II is happening this weekend!
This Sunday, November 20 there will be a FREE DJ workshop for girls & boys between the ages of 7-17 at saki! Listen up, the workshop is split into two timeslots:
Ages 7-11 will be from 2-3:30pm!
Ages 12-17 will be from 3:30-5pm!
Workshops, taught by Girls Rock! Chicago counselors, will teach students technical skills of beat matching, mixing, and more basics of vinyl DJing! In this informative and hands-on workshop, each student will have time to practice choosing and successfully DJing songs by the end. A 501(c)(2) non-for-profit organization, Girls Rock! Chicago is dedicated to fostering girls' creative expression, positive self-esteem, and community awareness through rock music. Girls Rock! Chicago added a new DJ option to their instrument choices at camp last summer, and its popularity was enormous. Learning DJ skills encompasses technical skills as well as personal choice and creativity.

The demand for year-round Girls Rock! workshops is high and saki is excited to collaborate and provide programs through the winter!
