Anyone remember "Buffalo Stance"? Nothing makes you feel old like music!
But...this ain't old news - this is the new news(!) of a new age(!) packaged in it's relative newness especially for those new epiphanies you will have, such as "WOW!" or "I must purchase the Cherry Thing album." These things, as we understand, they happen.
Pitchfork knows they do. They know so well that they awarded Neneh Cherry & The Thing's new LP/CD, Cherry Thing, on Smalltown Supersound with an 8.0 review!
"The Cherry Thing captures some kind of fleeting magic. It's also something of a paradox: a deeply personal covers album. The ghost of the players' shared past, Don Cherry (who died of cancer in 1995), wrote one of the most inspired songs on the album, "Golden Heart". For the Thing and Neneh both, it's a tribute to the man who got them started on the wild, uncharted career arcs they're still inventing as they go."
