saki newsletter 4/2/13!

All fooling aside, it's the saki newsletter! We had a blast last week with another Punch Up at Lincoln Hall (with the staff of The Late Live Show), Creative Control and a live episode of the RPM podcast! Thanks to Lincoln Hall, The Late Live Show, all the comics from Creative Control and Nick and Joe from RPM. We can't wait to do it all again!

This week we've got two transformative events at saki. The opening reception for Paul Richardson and Mary Rothlisberger's show, MORE LIKE AN OCEAN is on Friday, followed by a very special event on Saturday, Show Me The Jerrys! Paul and Mary's show is based on pieces they call "windshowers" which will be installed throughout the store. Ryley Walker will also join us for a live set. It's going to be a very special night!

But wait, it gets better... on Saturday we're hosting Show Me The Jerrys! a benefit gala for Everything Is Terrible! We're celebrating the 5,000th VHS copy of Jerry Maguire being donated to EIT by turning saki into a Jerry Maguire pop up shop and inviting some of our stand up comic friends to entertain. We're encouraging guest to donate to EIT's fundraiser for their two new web series and to either dress up, wear red, or both! We can't wait to see everyone come out for this!

Later in the month we have our Off The Record listening party for April with Implodes new record Recurring Dream and of course, Record Store Day! As always we'll have bands in the store throughout the day and tons of other stuff going on in addition to all those exclusive Record Store Day releases!
