We're slipping into a boredom coma around here with our lack of events, but we find some comfort in the fact that we have another Off The Record listening party coming up on the 21st! We couldn't be more excited to have JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound back at the shop for a live set and DJ set, Q&A with the band and of course, some free food! Come hang out with us and the band and pick up some Bloodshot titles at a discount! The following Saturday, we have another live Revolutions Per Minute podcast taping! RPM hosts, Nick Rouley and Joe McAdam are two of the funniest comedy dudes in town and they know their music too! They're bringing back some of their favorite guests from past episodes for a sort of all-star comedy/music panel. Like his best & most iconic works, the magic of Nocturnes is in the glacial, inevitable decay of something beautiful. Tape loops of prepared piano - composed & recorded more than 30 years ago - reflecting, refracting, & disintegrating into a haunting sentimental haze, like losing a vivid memory to the natural deterioration of time.
