saki is thrilled to present Potential Difference: New Works by Emily Haasch.

Emily Haasch is best known for her minimal and controlled collage aesthetic. She highlights the lushness of physical material, space, and color in order to illustrate particular moments of isolation and structure. Within Potential Difference, the variations between proximity, exclusivity, and escapism are explored especially in regard to the perception of the image. Haasch is interested in the physical gestures and cues that are present in material, and how play and manipulation of such transform their presence.

Emily Haasch’s work has shown on sites such as Booooooom!, Make-Space, and Brown Paper Bag, and venues as diverse as the Chicago Urban Art Society, Co-Prosperity Sphere, the Coop, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, among others.

Divino Nino will be joining us for a live set. They are known for their psychedelic sound, drum loops, harmonies, world percussion, and Latin American Roots.

Please join us TONIGHT, Friday, June 7th from 6-9pm for the opening of Potential Difference: New Works by Emily Haasch. This event is FREE.
