saki newsletter 10/15/13!

Hey, everyone! Thanks to all who came out for Dirty Cool Kids with Mommy Prison Tattoos last week. We hope to bring improv back to saki sometime soon, so stay tuned!

This weekend we've got a very special Off The Record on Saturday with Quasi! The band is celebrating their new record, Mole City, their 8th album as Quasi. It's being called their 'White Album' displaying the same a strange disjointedness that reflects Sam Coomes and Janet Weiss' 20 years playing as Quasi. We'll have a DJ set from Touch and Go's Adam Reach and some incredible food provided by Yo Soy Chicago! DO NOT miss this one, folks. 5pm - this Saturday at saki!

On Saturday night we're hosting yet another Once In A Lifetime at Lincoln Hall. This time it's a midnight show with the supposedly spooky Lifetime movie, Devil's Diary. Natalie Jose, the Puterbaugh Sisters and Jeff Steinbrunner will be providing live commentary, probably about how this movie isn't scary at all. Yay! Halloween!

Later in the month we have another Freak Happening, an in-store with Bora Bora and Coins, and (in early November) the opening reception of Nathan Vernau's new show at saki, 'Figure Out!'
