saki newsletter 1/6/15!

Please excuse any typos in this newsletter. We're afraid to take our gloves off... just kidding, it's nice and toasty inside the store, but dang is it cold out there this week! We promise to keep the heat on and the records spinning if you need a respite from Mother Nature.

We've got some good stuff coming up at the shop this month, so listen up! This Friday we have the opening reception of John Bailey's show 'Nanodeath.' We'll have comics, prints, and buttons, as well as live sets from Harebrain and Dumpster Babies. As always, we'll provide some snacks and drinks, but you're welcome to BYOB.

On Thursday, the 15th we're hosting a listening party for our friends in Dastardly. Come hang out to hear their new album in full and say hi to the band!

We also have some in-stores in the works that may not be confirmed until the last minute, so make sure you keep an eye on the blog, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates!

Spotify listening station:

These days record stores don't get a ton of promos from labels like the good ol' days, but we know that you still want a chance to listen to a lot of things before you make the decision to buy. To help you out with that we've created a Spotify Listening Station in the store. Sounds fancy, right? It's not. We just bought a burner phone and put literally nothing on it but the Spotify app!

If you find yourself flipping through the racks and you realize that you'd like to listen to something before you buy it, just ask at the counter and we'll pull out some headphones and Burnice (that's what we named our burner phone) so you can have a listen!
