Selling Underwear instead of Music

Although we didn't make it out to CMJ, at least we have Digital Music News to let us know what we missed, if anything.

Paul Resnikoff's article entitled "Not Making Enough Money On the Road? Try Selling Underwear... " reminds the musicians of today that the focus needs to be on creating art! There is a time and a place to connect with your fans, but you can't let it out way the creation process.

As Resnikoff puts it, "There was absolutely no discussion about properly managing the artist's limited time - how much to dedicate to music, how much to dedicate to marketing, how much to touring. But every artist walked away with marching orders to do about five times as much stuff as humanly possible."
