While talking with a woman at Tree House (a no-kill cat shelter in Chicago), she mentioned that in partnership with their Trap-Neuter-Release program for feral cat colonies, Tree House has started asking a couple of stores to foster some of these adoptable animals. The two most active stores so far are both pet stores, Follow Your Nose in Evanston and Doggy Style Pet Shop in Wicker Park. The program has been successful and they were hoping to expand to non-pet stores--bookstores, art galleries, record shops, etc.
