Aptly named after the Flamin' Groovies' powerpop masterpiece, Shake Some Actions Vol. 1 (SSA 2003) is the first installment in an eight part series highlighting an array of brilliant underground 70s rock, power pop and new wave gems from the UK, US, Ireland and beyond.
Similar in style to the Messthetics series, this is going to make you scratch your head and wonder why you hadn't heard of some of these bands before.
Here's a couple personal favorites and if you like 'em you should make sure to check out Sing Sing records where some great punk and powerpop records (just like this one) are being lovingly reissued.
