Hey there, not much to report from camp saki in the past week, but lots of good stuff coming up! We're so excited to have the Handsome Family & Daniel Knox playing for us this Thursday! Both are playing Epitonic saki Sessions, so you can come check it out live at the shop for free, and then download it from Epitonic after it's all mixed & mastered. On Saturday, we have the opening reception for Fug Comics: A Collection of Fugscreens Comic-Oriented Prints. Cellar Rat & Finch's Beer Co. are providing the drinks for that one, and we've got the snacks covered. Come on out, for free food, drinks & to check out some fantastic screen prints from Fugscreens.
Also, keep a look out for an announcement concering our new in-house record label. Yes, some of you may know that we're related to Carrot Top Records, but saki records will be more tailored to the store employees & our specific tastes. We're obviously really, really excited about it! More on that soon!

NON-RETURNABLE. NO EXPORT TO UK/EU
STREET DATE 9/18. Rock & roll's reigning Emperors Of Shreddington return w/ their 6th album w/ the original lineup. For a combo that began as anomalous fusion of hardcore punk & pop influences, they have proven themselves to be unlikely masters of the long game. NO CANADA/NO EXPORT
STREET DATE 9/18. Cast pop cascades into noise kaleidoscopes, chop & twist melody until it becomes a big dance beat, & build inescapable arrays of tension & texture that finally release. NO EXPORT

That's the way the Rangda madness lies. NO EXPORT TO EU/UK

09/18 STREET DATE. During Pavemen's "One More for the Money" tour of 2010, Sic Alps played some British gigs with them - it's been written that during one long night in Brixton, Stephen Malkmus was heard uttering within shot of a microphone that Sic Alps would be one of the most important bands of the next 10 years. Sic Alps return with their self-titled 5th release since 2006. NO EXPORT TO EU/UK
