Debut record from Western Massachusetts' band that manages a bit of magic by conjuring the spirits of classic American indie rock, while twisting those ghosts into new shapes. It's easy to hear Helium, Jawbox and Chavez, as well as nods to contemporaties like Pile, Roomrunner, Swearin', Waxahatchee and Aye Nako.

Andy Kaufman - Andy and his Grandmother CD and LP

Never-heard-before material! A skimming from 82 hours of microcassette tapes that Andy recorded during 1977-79. Real life was the ultimate frontier for him and these tapes demonstrate the heart of Andy's comedy. SNL's BILL HADER provides narration, and Vernon Chatman (Wonder Showzen, South Park) and Bob Zmuda provide liner notes!

The Orwells - Other Voices 10" EP

Five young men from Chicago playing rock 'n' roll music with an unmatched ragged intensity. They've been playing together since late 2009 when they were in the 9th grade. Although one might try to simply sum up their sound as garage or punk, it isn't that simple. Their sound comes from a deeper, different place that is both long forgotten and yet timeless. Their live show has the unhinged intensity of The Replacements, but they never miss a beat. This is good music played very, very well.
