Time to Go Home is a beautifully composed surf rock record with twangy electric guitar and oddly fitting bored vocals. Tracks like "Why Try" and "Trapped" are both shimmy-worthy surf rock jams and "The Thing" is a certified head-banger, a screaming ode to the John Carpenter horror flick of the same name. "Joke" contains an infectiously catchy chorus, all draped over warm and easy reverb. This album definitely does the trick for those still rubbing our eyes from winter and thawing in new summer warmth.
