Adam's Pick of the Week: Royal Jesters - English Oldies

It's the same old story, folks, Numero group drops another one with beautiful packaging, extensive liner notes (which you'll need to figure out why a collection of Spanglish doo-wop is called "English Oldies") and the music, oh, the music... The Royal Jesters were a group of San Antonio teenagers who cut their teeth on American rock 'n' roll of the late 50s, eventually evolving into a popular Tejano act over several lineup changes. English Oldies is a collection of the band's output featuring a slew of delightful covers and originals from what Numero calls "a blazing Latin rock and soul [band of] Tex-Mex masterminds. Highly recommended!
