Thanks to everyone who came out for the International Movie Betting Game at Schubas, the CHIRP Record Crawl after-party with The Bingers and Brother George, and Pish Posh with Another New Calligraphy, A Light Sleeper & Flux Bikes! The very first installment of IMBG was a runaway success. We can't wait to do another! If you missed The Bingers & Brother George, you can catch them both playing around town soon. The pizza from CHIRP, however, is all gone...

We're gearing up for another big week with TWO Chicago release shows for Santah's 'You're Still A Lover' (CD out now, 12" EP coming next month on saki's new label!). First one is on Thursday at Township with tourmates Savoir Adore & Royal Canoe. Then on Friday, after you come to saki for A Very Creative Control Halloween, join us at The Burlington for round 2 with Santah, Brother George & Psychic Twin! We've got Old Style drink specials at both, and you can pre-order the vinyl version of the EP at either show!



We'll follow it up on Saturday night with our blowout 1972-themed Halloween party, "Halloween 197BOO!" Bigcolour is playing a set as the legendary Can, and Netherfriends will be performing a completely sample-based set culled from the hits of 1972. Our friend at Everyhing Is Terrible have also made a Superfly Blaxploitation Horror Megamix video for us, which we'll be screening thoughout the night! Goose Island is providing drinks and we'll have plenty of other Halloween treats for you as well. Party starts at 8pm. Don't miss it!
