Hello folks, we hope you're not America-ed out after the long weekend. We'd like to say a belated thanks to JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound, Bloodshot Records, DCASE, Wishbone, XRT and everyone who came out for Off The Record last week! Our little monthly listening party has become quite the to-do. We hope you've been enjoying them each month as much as we have!
This weekend we've got May's installment of Creative Control with Joe McAdam on Friday. We can't say it enough: Creative Control is our favorite thing that we do at saki. If you haven't come to check out one of the shows yet, now's your chance. We've got Tyson K, Oh Theodora, Liza Treyger, Kevin Hogan, Ian Abramson and Goodrich Gevaart doing, you know, comedy stuff, and music from Pink Torpedo! How's that sound? Sounds great, right!? Yeah, we know. It WILL be.
On Sunday we've got another Notes + Bolts release show/Epitonic saki Session. Love and Radiation have a new 7" on N+B so this in-store will be a celebration of that release as well as a recorded live session to be posted on Epitonic and released as a limited cassette from saki AND Notes + Bolts. We know, that's a lot going on there, but trust us, it will be fun and you'll love it!
In the next few weeks we've got Emily Haasch's art opening (you can get a sneak preview if you come by this Sunday...), an in-store with our good friend Ayme Frye and yet another Off The Record with the mighty Man... or Astro-Man?. Get pumped, y'all!
